Year 5 Visit to Weston Park

On Monday 6th November, Year 5 visited Weston Park in Shropshire to learn about World War 2.  The children had the opportunity to go inside an Anderson Shelter and experience what it would be like to spend an evening sheltering from the bombs dropped during The Blitz.  Once they were given the 'all clear' from the siren, they went inside and made medals out of clay.  Finally, the children had the opportunity to dress up in 1940s clothing and visit a 1940s sitting room as well as entering a Morrison Shelter which doubled up as a table.  Have a look at our photos.
